About our school

Our History

2001

Pierre van Ryneveld Christian Academy was established in January 2001 at the nursery school building previously known as Pierryntjie Nursery School. Using The ACE curriculum since the beginning, PvRCA opened its doors with a total of 16 learners: eight GR 1’s and eight other learners in the rest of the school with a total of 2 teachers excluding management.

2003

During 2003 we built the double story classroom but only completed the top story, leaving the bottom part open for more playground area.

2007

Finally in 2007 the ground floor was completed after we got permission to use the playground area next to the school.

2012

Sports grounds for our students was developed at the end of 2012.

PRESENT

The school building now consists of 13 classrooms including the Computer Class and Media Centre.
In 2015 we added the IMPAQ curriculum making it possible to write the National Senior Certificate. This is a significant development in the school's future as by this we now make it possible for the whole community to get schooling in both Afrikaans and English.

Statement of Faith

We believe in:

The inspiration of the Bible, equally in all parts and without error in its origin;

The one God (eternally existent Father, Son and Holy Spirit) who created man by a direct immediate act;

The pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless Life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven, and the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ;

The fall of man, the need of regeneration by the Operation of the Holy Spirit on the basis of grace alone, and the resurrection of all to life or damnation; and

The spiritual relationship of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, living a life of righteous works, and witnessing of His saving grace through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
